Description:
In the course of the Industry 4.0 endeavors, the interoperability of the IO-Link device level with higher-level systems is a common request.
That is why a respective data model shall now be defined under the umbrella of the IO-Link Community to allow for the representation of IO-Link devices and IO-Link masters in JSON. The definition of the IO-Link data model shall be done independent of any fieldbus with the objective to support a seamless integration with higher-level data models. A close coordination with OPC UA shall assured.
