Test Labs

PI Test Laboratories (PITLs) execute tests on products with PI Technologies.

These tests play an important role in quality control and give end users peace of mind. They ensure conformance with specifications of PI Technologies and underpin operational performance and interoperability. It also ensures freedom of choice of supply. Certification testing is mandatory for PROFINET and PROFIsafe products. More details about certification can be found here.

 

Before  undergoing  the PROFINET test, Ethernet-APL devices must pass the  Physical Layer Test (Test Area: Ethernet-APL). Once  passed, customers  seeking PROFINET certification  must  choose a PITL that  supports the  Test Area System Redundancy.

In addition, the Test Areas have  been  extended  for  devices  supporting PA Profile and FDI technology.

Product certification for the PI Technology omlox with the Test Areas for HUB and Core Zone products is now also available.
